Ruby and Jason met on the very first day of freshman year at WSU in August of 2018. Ruby is naturally very shy and had been to four other classes that day without so much as speaking to anyone. Jason sat down beside her in his very first class of the day and said hello. They introduced themselves and were friends in class until October. Jason was wanting to get to know more people and asked Ruby to go to lunch with him sometime. Ruby thought it was a date (it was not) and quickly agreed. Being on the Crew team at WSU, Ruby had little time outside of class and practice so she invited Jason out to the campus pool and hot tub that evening. They couldn't stop talking to each other and spent until 2:00 AM chatting about life and getting to know each other. Ruby and Jason have been inseparable ever since that day. Ruby and Jason officially became a couple on October 14th 2018.
